01.01.13 sunny but cold (under 10C). Rode out with Jake towards Barton in the Beans about 31k. Hard work but managed to get up Normanton hill in the big ring.

Fireworks

I like a good fireworks display, me. Unfortunately the best I get in Ashby is to hear one rather than see one. Apparently this is due to there not being enough clearance between the bath grounds (site of the infamous cycle assault, another day) and the houses. They chose to live there, I say. Anyway, what's the worst that could happen?

Surely you can't afford to be choosy if they have had to resort to advertising in the Guardian Soulmates section.

How come these people are always "good looking"? (Alternatively you get the ironic ones who describe themselves as "buzzard ugly" when you know very well they must consider themselves an Adonis)

Anyhoo - now 'tis time to start spreading the word about the upcoming choon event - VVVVVVEEEEEEEEEE!

Stuff I have found out:

There are several campsites, coded by colours, but I find no common answer as to what each one is like, I suspect this is because one man's nightmare field is another chav mentalists good nite out*. More research required here.

A positive rant?

Who said such a thing wasn't possible? Hey baby, anythings possible.

Today I REALLY ENJOYED my cycle to work, and I felt less puffed out than yesterday. Bonus!

Thanks to Mark for revealing the true path to blog enlightenment. Much less ying and yang; more "double yang!".
